Consultation
Consultation allows trainees to safely and effectively integrated the use of EMDR therapy into their clinical setting. Consultations provide an opportunity for the integration of the theory of EMDR therapy along with the development of EMDR therapy skills.
During consultation trainees receive individualized feedback and instruction in the areas of case conceptualization, client readiness, target selection, treatment planning, specific application of skills, and the integration of EMDR therapy into clinical practice.
Consultation also allows trainees to develop and integrate EMDR thearpy skills creatively into their current therapeutic modalities in a way that enhances clinical effectiveness and accomplishment of targeted positive outcomes.
My Experience with EMDR Therapy
As an EMDR Consultant, I bring a wealth of experience and expertise to the table. I am proud to hold an EMDRIA certification, which demonstrates my commitment to upholding the highest standards in EMDR therapy. With over 7 years of experience in the field, I have had the privilege of working with a diverse range of clients and have accumulated over 1500 client hours using EMDR. This extensive experience has allowed me to gain a deep understanding of the intricacies of EMDR therapy and its efficacy in treating trauma and other psychological disorders.
My focus lies on integrating Polyval Theory, Dissociation, Ego State Therapy, and a Neurodiversity Affirming Approach into my practice.
Polyval Theory provides a comprehensive understanding of biological human experiences in relation to mental health, acknowledging the complexity of behavioral responses and the diverse ways individuals make sense of their world.
In working with Dissociation, I strive to help therapists create a safe therapeutic environment, fostering an empathetic space for clients to explore and integrate fragmented parts of their self.
Ego State Therapy allows for the exploration and understanding of various aspects of one's personality, facilitating a deeper understanding of internal conflicts and promoting self-compassion.
Additionally, I approach therapy from a Neurodiversity Affirming lens, recognizing and celebrating the unique strengths and perspectives of diverse neurodiverse individuals, while providing a space for healing and growth.
